Key Stage 3 Teaching Guide
This teaching guide has been produced for Independent schools that are not required to follow the National Curriculum, but wish to deal with the subject of evolution in a comprehensive but balanced way. It aims to cover all the material required by the National Curriculum in at least as much detail as other teacher’s guides and, at the same time, to provide an understanding of the Intelligent Design and creationist views. The additional content will equip teachers to help students understand more about the creation/evolution debate, and explain how both sides view the data. A distinction is made between established scientific facts and the way these are interpreted by those holding different beliefs about origins.
